Art is my sanity
It helps to ground me and to balance out the various parts of my life.
I love working with colour and texture. My current art journey is through semi-abstract painting, mixed media and collage. I’ve recently added mono-printing and stencilling to my art and am looking forward to exploring this more in future art-works.
I love exploring different perspectives ranging from a macro level through to birds-eye view and landscapes. I often use photographs from my travels as my starting point / inspiration; I never know quite where the painting will lead me through its journey to the finish-point…
Please have a look at my work on the various pages of my website. All work that is for sale is labelled with the price. Contact me at jalillaart@gmail.com if you’re interested in any of the work. I also take private commission requests.
Check-out my ‘Adding Texture’ page for some of my new work.
Flinders Ranges Art Adventure
In September (2022) I’m spending some time in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia, including a 5-day art adventure at Arkaroola Wilderness Resort. I’m planning to use the opportunity to further explore my art and photography, and use the inspiration in my next exhibition.
